University of Nigeria Medical Alumni Association (UNIMAA) is a prestigious organization comprising distinguished medical professionals who have graduated from the esteemed University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) Medical College. Founded on February 4, 2023, our mission is to foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation among our members while promoting the advancement of our alma mater.

Our History

Since our inception, we have been driven by a shared vision of excellence and a commitment to giving back to our alma mater. With a strong foundation of 47 classes represented through our Global Alumni Representative Forum (GARF), we have established a robust leadership framework that enables us to achieve our goals.

Governance Structure

UNIMAA is governed by a robust leadership framework, comprising the following committees:

- Accountability and Transparency Committee: Ensures transparency, accountability, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

- Board of Trustee Committee: Comprises esteemed alumni who provide guidance, strategic planning, and oversight to ensure the long-term success and sustainability of UNIMAA.

- Class Representatives Committee: Acts as a bridge between UNIMAA and the individual graduating classes, fostering communication, organizing reunions, and promoting lifelong connections among alumni.

- Executive Committee: Oversees the overall operations, sets strategic goals, and ensures effective implementation of initiatives.

- Monitoring and Compliance Committee: Ensures efficient execution of initiatives and projects and monitors compliance with regulatory requirements.

Projects and Initiatives

Since our founding, we have completed numerous projects and initiatives that have positively impacted our members and the broader community. Some of our notable achievements include:

Global Presence

UNIMAA is registered in Nigeria, with world chapters currently in the United States and the United Kingdom. Our alumni are united through their class representatives under the Global Alumni Representative Forum (GARF)
